Silly Mommy, Trix are for kids!
A mother can only hope that when her children are older, that they don't have bad memories of her or their childhood. That is the goal here isn't it? To raise happy, healthy independent adults. I have to wonder what my kids will look back on and think of me and how I did. Not only am I directionally challenged and getting us lost all the time (half the time, the kids find our way for me), but today I super-glued my fingers together in front of them. They think I'm a twit, I just know it! They were quite amazed by it and you think they forget by the end of the day, but on my way to work Ron calls and says "I heard you had some problems with the superglue". The kids had told him all about it. Those kids, I tell you. And, the time I forgot the baby, which most of you know about, I ONLY called Ron to tell him b/c I knew THEY would have! Otherwise, it would have been Jilly's and my secret.
Other things I do that may cause them post traumatic stress disorder: 1. Run around all day long busying myself with silly things i.e. replacing toilet paper rolls, re-filling hand soaps, and putting the cap on the toothpaste a few times per day. 2. Put things that don't go in the fridge in the fridge. 3. Forget the baby. 4. Call them by the wrong name, in which case, I have resorted to calling them by their birth order number. 5. Tell them yes to something that I really meant no b/c I wasn't really listening, and then scold them when they do it, even though I said yes. Silly silly mommy, I can only imagine what I will be like in old age, although, I MAY just be fine once they're all grown up!
