Good times, I tell you!

Whew! It has been a busy past week since the last post! Once again, the kids had two snow days due to the blizzard, the second one I've lived to tell about (the first being in 1978 when I was four)! They finally went back to school today but had a two hour stinkin' delay! Don't people know that I have a routine???? Ron stayed home yesterday from work because he couldn't make it out of the driveway...actually he DID make it out the driveway, but there was no way in hell he could have made it down the street. So, he gallantly snow blowed almost everyone's driveway and sidewalk in the cul-de-sac! I was just glad he didn't end up with frostbite or overexhaustion!

I went to work yesterday at 3 and barely made it out of the driveway and down the street myself, while Ron and the kids laughed at me at the window! Ha ha! Very funny! But the babies awaited me, I had to go to work! As it was, only myself and one other woman came in at 3, but we had a good shift considering.

The kids spent the days off fighting, fighting, oh, and fighting. They took interest in this bird that perched itself in the bushes outside of our window, undoubtedly to shield itself from the wind and snow. They kept an eye on it for a while, and then she was gone. We wondered if she was pregnant, because she was so fat!

I had three days off of work and guess what I got done? A big fat nothing! I DID manage to feed the kids, do 7 loads of laundry, and get 5 hours of sleep each night. This morning I had to take Kara to school at 9am (it was picture day for the little beauty) because she didn't have a school delay, then come back home, wait for the neighbor kid to come over so I could take him to school with my kids (as if I am not stressed enough, I take on others' children!), then back out the door to take Kaylee, Ryan, and neighbor boy (didn't forget the baby this time), then right from there to pick Kara up....I need to paint the van white with black checkers, because that's all I do is cart kids around! So enough of my ranting, I think I need to ask my buddy, Erika, if I can copy off of her and do a "Thankful Thursday" post every week because I am feeling quite stressed and woa is me...maybe if I blogged about the wonderful things in my life every week, it would be good for me! I'll keep you posted!
