Cold Day

The kids are off school today because it is so cold. I imagine this is what Alaska might feel like!It is so cold there is frost on the metal bar that's near the floor of our slider door. I am trying to keep the kids from playing with it! So, I am spending the day in my pajamas, as are they, until I have to get ready for work. I worked last night and Kaylee, especially, gets tired of me being at work a lot. I have to explain though that Mommy needs to work. I did get sent home early from work last night to my delight because this meant that I could go to the grocery store by MYSELF (a dreaded chore, but even more so with more than 2 kids!). I didn't think that having five kids would mean this much money in groceries so soon (they are still little), but with snacks and school lunches, they are eating us out of house and home! But at least I didn't have to venture out last night at midnight after work, or this mornning. Today, the monkeys are spending it playing dance dance revolution for playstation and Jilly bean seems on a never ending quest to eat- she must be going through a growth spurt or something. I have been saying this for weeks though! On the bright side though, she is less colicky and I am starting to enjoy her coos and giggles! She is 16 weeks old today!! Where has the time gone?? She is finally looking at us like she actually LIKES us and is starting to reach for objects. She also does this sad cry when Ron makes this deep WOO,WOO,WOO noise. It is the most pathetic cry and pouty face ever! Cute, though! I have got to get that on video tape!
