Strength

Have I ever mentioned that you have to be somewhat strong to take care of five kids? Physically, I mean, and emotionally of course, but I am speaking of the physical part here. It's the first day of Ron being gone all day, and I have been running around a lot. To tote five kids around, infant carseat, stroller, purse, screaming two year old....you cannot be a weakling! I am exhausted today. I actually got pretty good sleep last night. Jillian woke up around 1am and I gave her the pacifier and she went back to sleep until 4am. This is how my day went:
Woke up at 7:30, breakfast for the four oldest
Breakfast for myself and got dressed
Fed Jillian again and then cereal, got her dressed and Caden dressed (diapering also)
Made lunches and made sure each child was presentable
Medicated Ryan for a "hurting eyeball" which made me think I will be getting a call from him from school.
Out the door at 8:50 and to school
To the gym, kids in the kids club
Call from Ryan from school, load kids up from kids club and to school to medicate Ryan, who came to the school office where I sat waiting, with a wet papertowel on his eye....told Ryan he would have to better than that to come home from school.
Back home, lunch for kids, nap for kids
Quiet time, which I used to clean
2:00 Naptime ends
Back to school to pick kids up
Out to eat for dinner
5:30 Kaylee to softball practice (with all 5 kids)
Back home
6:40 Back to get Kaylee w/ all five kids
Homework help, kids played outside, kids snack, kids cleaned up for bed, Call to Dad
Kids to bed....it is now 9:20pm......WHEW!
I should just go to bed, but I have laundry to do and ice cream to eat (Thanks for the reminder, Erika!)
Everything went fine tonight until Ryan got emotional and missed Ron and we had to call him and send videos via cell phones.....Ryan said "Dad's video made me feel better".
