Kite Flying
We took the kids to the park today to fly kites that the Easter Bunny left in the backyard (neighbor Beth). They loved it! Beth stayed with Jillian at the last minute (she is an angel here on Earth). Ron left tonight for the week, so he wanted to take the kids to the park. I think he is going to miss them a lot! It is already weird here without him. I don't think the kids realize how long they won't see him for or what it might feel like to NOT see him for five days. Right before he left this evening, Kaylee went to give Ron a hug goodbye and jumped up as Ron was leaning down and her forehead hit him in the face and the blood immediately started pouring out of his nose(at least he didn't curse like he usually does when he gets hit hard in a sensitive spot by one of them!). I actually haven't ever seen anyone bleed that much out of the nose (it was on the carpet, couch, and all over his hand). He recovered quickly. Kaylee felt horrible and cried, and ran to her room, which reminded me of the few times I have ever seen my own Dad get hurt either by my doing or at his work. There is something scary about seeing a parent down like that, and even more awful when it's partly your fault. Then later on in the evening, I smacked the side of my head/eye on the tv. It was loud enough that Ryan said in a very worried tone "Are you alright Mom?" I'm ok, but I actually gave my self a shiner and got a little dizzy. My head still feels a little dizzy. Both parents hurt in one night. People are going to start talking, but Ron and I really DIDN'T get into a fist fight!!!!!! Anyway, Ron will be back on Friday and we are taking Kaylee and Ryan to see Stomp. They are looking forward to it. They keep seeing the commercial on tv. It should be a good time after missing their Dad all week!
