Kara whispering to me: "Mom, I love your heart"

Kaylee on recalling Rebekah, who lost her Tim Mcgraw and Faith Hill concert tickets and found them a year later in her glove box: "Ah...Rebekah, girl who loses tickets, ticket-loser, lost ticket girl, finds them a year later, Rebekah!"

Kara whispering again "Mom, I have a secret, when a fire starts....you use one of those things (fire extinguisher) and spray it all over it, but DON'T TELL ANYONE!"

Caden "I hurt me!"

Kaylee in the ER waiting to get stitches:
Mom: Kaylee, you are woman, hear you roar!! (trying to psych her up)
Kaylee in the softest, wimpiest voice: "roar"

Ryan: Can I watch a show that has guns and swords in it?
Me: Uh, no.....
Ryan: Why not? I promise I won't USE guns OR swords!!!!
Me: Because I don't like shows like that....
Ryan: Well, MY life is not YOUR life.....
Me: Until you're a grown man it is!

At dinner we do a "special plate" sometimes where all the kids and ron and i, tell what we appreciate about each family member....here's Kara's latest:

Kaylee is: she reads like a maniac!
Ryan is: he goes to school and learns
Mom is: that she drives me to school and back.
Dad is: that he mows the grass
Jillian is: that she smiles and crawls
Myself (Kara) is: that I go to school and learn
Cutie (guinea pig) is: that she runs around her cage
Caden is: he smears poop on the walls and then takes a bath!
