Jillian's First Birthday

Just had to post a quick one about Jillian's Birthday. We celebrated with just us (it's a party with as many people as we have in our family!). Jillian had chicken and dumplings, cut up REALLY small, and then she opened her gifts. It was very cute and probably the most entertaining of all the first birthdays. She was actually interested in opening the gift and card and then wanted to play with the TOY itself and not just the box! She got a bouncing spinning zebra, crib music/mp3 player, photo book, and tons of clothes from us. I also made her a fleece baby blanket because all the other kids have and love them. Ella got her an outfit, a gift card to Target, a lift the flap book, and fishy crackers. She got pajamas, slippers, and a book from Nancy and Larry. She also got a light up stuffed monkey from Kaylee's bud, Samantha and her mom and dad (she loves that monkey). Beth, our neighbor, got her the CUTEST little skirt outfit, red and black with a plaid skirt and red shirt w/ a Yorkie dog on it (pictures to follow).
When we ate the cake that night, I placed a HUGE piece in front of her. Every other kid has just poked at the cake and I've had to make them eat it and get messy. Not this kid. She ate that cake like it was her job!! And, not just a little bit....the WHOLE piece!!! Happy first year Jillybean!

Update: Jillian pretty much sleeps through the night now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hello sleep, here I come!

Happy Birthday Jillian!

Kim...way to go with the Halloween costumes. They looked so adorable, and scary, and high school musical-ish...

Glad to see that all is well with you. Take care and keep posting about your little monkeys...
