Excuses

The blog has suffered because I have been busy. Busy with what you ask? Well, my current area of focus is helping Jillian to be a little more independent so that soon, she can spread her wings, pack her bags, and head off to college. My progress? She can sit up now.....I know, baby steps. And, she said Mama this morning and continues to say it all day. Finally, a sign that she is not the miserable person I have made her out to be! Maybe, just maybe, we have surpassed the 15 pound mark, which means she might sleep more.
I haven't been working much and have been babysitting Ella, daughter to Jill and Gary, expert bunny-lover, cat whisperer, avid car-dancer, queen of well-managed envied curls, and sweet-as-pie one year old. Ok, it IS my day job and no, it is NOT too much to take on with my five. My theory is that once they outnumber you, it doesn't matter how many (unless it's Brent or any other boy who makes my son crazy!). Ok, until my mind is in a better place to type a better post, I will leave you with this one.
